3Shape is looking for a talented Software Developer to join our Reconstruction Software Area. As world leader in this domain, we have driven the evolution for decades and are setting the future standard. You will be joining a collaborative and creative team of over twenty Computer Vision and Software professionals at the absolute forefront. You will team up with great system developers, signal processing experts and mathematicians, many of us with PhD, forming the best 3D and computer vision team in the country. Being the leader for decades means our problems yet to be solved and solutions yet to be created are the most challenging and rewarding ones. A challenge we address with collaborative efforts of great minds. In a nutshell, our team turns 2D sensor data into 3D and render the created 3D model. The team has the complete ownership of the area spanning research, signal processing, product development, maintenance, tooling, and test automation. As a member of reconstruction software area, you will team up with one or more colleagues working on an initiative. An activity which could be a longer-term research project or implementing a product improvement hitting the market near-term. In parallel you will act as sparring partner for parallel initiatives and part-take in our weekly educational sessions and book clubs.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance C++ and/or C# algorithms and components for 3D image reconstruction and processing and the associated tooling and test frameworks.

• Collaborate within our team of experienced software and computer vision professionals to enable dental professionals to successfully scan any patient as accurate and effective as possible. Collaborate cross functional with QA, hardware and optics engineers, and other software teams creating dental services upon the reconstructed model.

• Take ownership of features and modules from concept to deployment.

• Have fun!

What We’re Looking For

• Solid programming skills in C++ and/or C# with experience from high-performing desktop applications or embedded systems in context of computer vision or other signal processing domains.

• Experience from one or more of these domains: Computer vision, signal processing, applied mathematics, medical imaging, 3D graphics rendering, real-time systems.

• An analytical mindset with attention to performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• A humble team player with enthusiasm for collaborating in a highly technical and mission-driven environment.

• Curiosity, drive and intellect to understand challenging problems in depth.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
