About the role:

We are looking for a commercially minded, highly skilled and tech-savvy Data Engineer to play a key role in implementing 3Shape’s company-wide Customer Data Strategy. As part of our talented BI team in Ukraine, you’ll collaborate closely with the Customer Data Strategy team in Denmark, working to shape and drive initiatives that are a cornerstone of our overall business strategy.

The Customer Data Strategy is a high-priority initiative at 3Shape and holds significant potential and buy-in from senior management. The team, which currently includes a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Data Architect, and Manager, is in an exciting phase of expansion – and this is your opportunity to help shape its future.

Areas of responsibility:

• Design and build highly scalable, reliable, and efficient data pipelines and solutions to serve data across the organization and to stakeholders

• Develop analytics solutions that deliver valuable insights for clients and end-users

• Facilitate the ongoing development of BI strategy, platforms, applications and processes

• Build and optimize Datawarehouse together with BI Developers

• Support and train users in BI solutions

To succeed in your role, you should possess the following skills and competencies:

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar position

• Proficient with Big Data, ETL/ELT and Business intelligence concepts

• Excellent knowledge of Python, PySpark and SQL

• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake

• Experience with Git, Github Actions and Terraform

• Knowledge of data warehouse and data modelling

• Solid understanding of data storage technologies and cloud-based data solutions

• Experience with stakeholder management in development projects

• Interest in software development best practices and contributing with reliable, high-quality code

• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database is a plus

• Experience with agile working methods, such as Scrum is a plus
