About the role:

We are seeking an experienced, people-centric and inspiring leader to head our Digital Experience & Applications department at the 3Shape Ukraine office, which is an integrated part of the Group IT global organization at 3Shape. As Digital Experience & Applications Department Manager, you will be a member of the Management Team representing 10 other departments of 3Shape Ukraine. Digital Experience & Applications Department Manager of 3Shape Ukraine reports to the Head of Digital Experience & Applications of 3Shape, based in Copenhagen, Denmark, with the secondary reporting line to the General Manager of 3Shape Ukraine, Kyiv.

The Digital Experience & Applications department in 3Shape Ukraine is part of the global Group IT organization and includes a broad mix of IT roles that support several Group IT functional areas. As Department Manager you will oversee a multi-disciplinary team of 40+ people, including team leads and individual contributors with different areas of expertise.

This role requires someone who can develop people, set clear expectations, motivate and engage local teams, while leveraging strong functional support from our global IT group. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader with experience in digital, technology, or IT environments to build, grow, and shape the Digital Experience & Applications function in Ukraine, contributing to the digital future of a global, innovative, and technology-driven company at the forefront of digital dentistry.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Co-own the delivery of the Digital Experience & Applications department of 3Shape UA as part of the global IT delivery in close collaboration with Functional heads and the Group IT Leadership Team
  
• Monitor overall team performance in frequent dialogue and collaboration with IT management stakeholders, team leads, and team members, act as a crisis manager in case of necessity
  
• Implement the best practices of people management and leadership development within the department
  
• Implement the best practices of resource management and workforce planning in the Digital Experience & Applications department of 3Shape UA (job profiles, career paths, competences, resource balance, hiring, etc.)
  
• Implement organizational design changes required for the development of the department, creating and growing teams if necessary, setting leadership, setting reporting principles, etc.
  
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process and budgeting adjustments during the year as the local owner and representative of the local job market
  
• Collaborate and contribute to the 3Shape UA Management Team for the benefit of all departments in 3Shape UA
  
• Create local ties for country matters & company local arrangements (assuring local company practices and processes of HR, finance, legal, and administrative nature are onboarded within the department) together with General Manager 3Shape UA & Department Managers

To succeed in your role, you should possess the following skills and competencies:

• Full-time presence in Kyiv
  
• Fluent English
  
• Degree in computer science, project management, or equivalent practical experience
  
• Experience of working in an international company, preferably within the IT industry of Ukraine
  
• Experience of working in a matrix organization
• Experience as Director or Manager of an IT department or similar role
  
• Experience managing areas such as Business Applications Development, Integrations, IT Operations, or other enterprise IT domainsExperience in managing various areas of IT, like Business Applications development, IT Operations
  
• Advanced skills and knowledge in leadership and people management experience
  
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
  
• Strong drive and willingness to continuously improve and develop – personally and professionally
  
• Structured, process-oriented, and with impeccable attention to detail
