Jesper Manigoff has been in the Tech / R&D / Leadership business for almost 3 decades, graduating in 1994 at DTU Electro within the field of signal processing & telecom. After being part of the development of the worlds first MPEG-2 HD encoders for TV contribution, Jesper stepped into project management and soon after that management of multifunctional R&D departments working closely with research labs of IBM, DTU and North Eastern University in Boston. For almost 17 years, Jesper worked as managing director and vice president of large multinational companies within Telecom and later at Medical ultrasound (BK Medical) fusing cultures and technologies from Vancouver to Boston, Copenhagen & India. The driver has always been to surprise the customer by betting on technologies of the future to solve real life challenges. In 2012 Jesper was one of the key drivers to secure a grant of a 149mdkk project from Højteknologifonden to develop medical solutions that most people believed would be impossible for a small team of Danish companies, DTU, Rigshospitalet and Alexandra Instituttet. The last 3 years Jesper has been heading SW development and Regulatory Affairs within Digital Dentistry as VP at 3Shape, one of Denmark’s most successful tech startups – now with more than 1700 employees and 400+ innovators within R&D.
