About the position

The dental space is evolving and new parties, e.g. private equity funds, are entering its space. An increasing amount of dental service organisations (DSO) are emerging. DSOs are a rapidly developing segment of the dental market and include clinics from ten to thousands. In some key markets they account for +25% of all dental practices. The trend is global and is expected to continue.

In general, the DSOs are on the lookout for cost saving opportunities and incremental revenue streams. We look for a person that can create a break-through in this increasingly important marketspace by working along and driving key account project teams across China.

Your job is to take responsibility of DSO accounts. You will report to the China National Sales Manager with the responsibility of driving and developing the commercially most attractive DSOs. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying the most commercially attractive opportunities and tailor our value offering to the individual accounts.


As Key Account Manager DSOs China, you will be given the following responsibilities:

  • Secure that 3Shape are proactive in engaging with DSOs, i.e. build a tender-shaping approach
  • Leverage local 3Shape sales team by ensuring they are confident in positioning and selling to both bigger and smaller DSOs
  • Drive pitches for the most important strategic and financially interesting DSO opportunities
  • Build a strong partnership with our key strategic re-sellers to support our DSO offerings
  • Develop service level agreements as well as making sure 3Shape can deliver and maintain the agreed service levels with the individual DSOs
  • Help build a sales culture that is proactive and focuses on driving usage and adoption
  • Create transparency around opportunities and ongoing performance
  • Develop our DSO offering in strong collaboration with the Global Strategic Account Management Team in Copenhagen, our headquarter
  • Ideal candidate has +5years experience in a complex business development and/or sales role.
  • Experience from working within/with healthcare is considered a plus
  • Strong analytical toolbox, incl. sound problem-solving and solid project management skills
  • Ability to lead yourself and create results through others
  • Good in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience working on developing a sales pitch to large, complex customers
  • IT skills required super user of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree is a minimum requirement
