Your Role

Join a vibrant, multi-cultural team where collaboration is key, and innovation is celebrated. In this role, you will learn from the other eight members of the IP team and work closely with the R&D department. As a member of the IP team, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work closely with our product development teams, gaining in-depth technical and commercial insights, and contribute to project-related patent landscape studies.
• Leverage on your acquired knowledge to expand our patent portfolio by identifying innovative ideas and preparing ideas for patenting.
• Learn the art of drafting patent applications to enable 3Shape to develop a robust and commercially relevant patent portfolio.
• Conduct strategic surveillance of third-party patent publications.
• Acquire an in-depth knowledge of European patent law, by following IP courses and seminars, and potentially sit the European Qualifying Examination to become a European Patent Attorney.

Your Qualifications

As an ideal candidate, you

• Just finished, or are about to finish, a university degree in physics, software, electrical engineering, or a similar degree. We also encourage applicants with research experience in a relevant technical area or 1 or 2 years of experience within the patent field to apply.
• Have a curious mindset, are eager to learn and have the desire to deliver great results.
• Exhibit effective interpersonal skills, enabling you to thrive in both collaborative team environments and when working alone.
• Have advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
