To help us, we need a skillful electronics engineer who can aid in the design and redesign of new and existing products, from systems built from modules to advanced board level electronics and associated tools. In the job, you will be part of projects from prototyping to putting real products in the hands of customers. You will take part in both product development as well as take part in debugging issues, which cannot easily be solved by the electronics engineers in our diagnostics or lifecycle teams due to it requiring deep technical and system knowledge.

In the 3D Scanner R&D engineering team your primary mission will be to:

• Define, describe, and design/redesign electronics of new and existing products
• Verify own designs, and peer-review you colleague’s work
• Analyze hard-to-debug malfunctions and suggest/implement solutions to raise quality
• Occasionally handle challenging component end-of-life issues by replacements or re-design
• Be an integrated part of the R&D team on development projects

Your daily work will primarily be in the cross-discipline project teams. You will work independently with no detailed instruction book to follow in your daily work and plan your tasks based on discussions with project managers, colleagues, and your own expertise. You will work closely with other of the approximate 100 HW developers in our R&D headquarter in Copenhagen, but we also have close corporation with suppliers in Asia and naturally with lifecycle and NPI teams at our factory in Szczecin, Poland. 5-10 travel days may be expected.

Your profile

Our 3D scanner systems are designed and built in-house and consists of modules and advanced custom printed circuit boards. Therefore, you shall be able to work with electronics at many levels from cables, power supplies, batteries, screens to electronics board level circuitry with ARM processors, MCUs, FPGA, memories, image sensors and wireless technologies, doing both design and debugging with relevant tools

• Preferable 3+ years professional experience with design and debugging of advanced digital electronics
• You can tick of expertise within many of below areas or are able to learn quickly
  • Experimental/testing setups
  • PCB schematic design and layout
  • Scripting & programming of embedded electronics
  • High level programming (C, C++ or Python)
  • Verification with measurement equipment and test strategies

You are fast to learn if current competences need to be expanded. You are an outgoing person and team player with good communication skills, who can work independently, with your team and other functions. You are analytic, pragmatic and can strike a good compromise when needed, and thrive with many concurrent tasks. Searching for ways to improve quality is a motivator for you.
