Job description
In 3Shape we are committed to changing dentistry and our world-leading 3D scanners systems for dental clinics and labs are catapulting dentistry to a new digital era for the benefit of our users and their patients.
To help us we need a skillful engineer who can take on responsibility to ensure quality in our custom electronics. That is from best practices in design-for-test methodologies, test automation, developing electronics verification tests for R&D and play an important role in our team developing PCBA production test automation solutions for our production, our diagnostics team and EMS partners. The electronics vary between high-density complex rigid and flex PCBAs with image sensors, FPGA/ARM SoCs, WiFi/BT, intelligent batteries, power converters and sensors. The mix of advanced technologies and miniaturization makes testing a complex challenge which requires both experience and creativity at times.
In the R&D engineering team your primary mission will be to:
- Aid in designing, setup and execute verifications of electronics designs
- Analyze tools and production processes for possible optimizations and automations
- Cooperate with our R&D team in Poland on PCBA test equipment and SW development
- Be an integrated part of the R&D team on development projects to ensure quality and testability
In your daily work you may work within multiple projects and be part of the PCBA tester cross-site team and plan your work accordingly yourself. You will also be part of a 10+ electronics engineers team and cooperate with around 100 helpful engineers in hardware development. You will work in our R&D headquarter in Copenhagen with 10-15 travel days per year, mostly to our production, life-cycle and NPI teams in Szczecin, Poland.
Your profile
Our 3D scanner systems are designed and built in-house and consists of modules and advanced custom printed circuit boards. Knowledge with electronics at many levels from cables, power supplies, batteries, screens to electronics board level circuitry with ARM, FPGA, LPDDR, image sensors and wireless technologies are an advantage for designing the tests and/or debugging with relevant tools.
We envision that you have:
- Education within Electronics and a good general understanding of electronics
- Experience with developing, debugging and commissioning of automated PCBA test setups for R&D and mass production
- Labview and Teststand expertise
- Scripting and programming experience
- Experience with data analysis of PCBA test results and data(base) structuring
You are an outgoing person and team player with good communication skills, who can work both independently, with your team and other functions. You are analytic, structured, and pragmatic when the situation calls for it. You have a “can do” attitude and up to further develop our professionalism within quality by testing and quality by design.
