FPGA and SoC firmware developer with design and verification expertise needed for medical 3D Scanner systems R&D department.

To help us we need a skillful engineer who can aid us in developing code for embedded MCU, FPGA , ARM and FPGA+ARM SoCs. Implementation of functions to support our 3D scanning workflow, development of functions for both external test, self-test and supporting tools for the advanced electronics and our innovative 3D scanners to guarantee the quality is part of the job.

You will take part in designing and implementing a new verification framework for FPGA and ARM firmware code to support our release testing.

In the 3D Scanner R&D engineering team your primary mission will be to:

• Develop and maintain code base for FPGAs and embedded processors
• Develop and maintain a professional verification and release platform
• Take part in device/tools design and debugging with other engineering disciplines
• Be an integrated part of the R&D team on development projects

Your daily work will primary be in the cross-discipline project teams which together create new products. You will work independently with no detailed instruction book to follow in your daily work but will work closely with other of the approximate 100 HW developers in our R&D headquarter in Copenhagen and to some degree with other R&D NPI and lifecycle teams in Poland.

Your profile

Our 3D scanner systems are designed and built in-house and consists of modules and advanced custom printed circuit boards. You shall be able to work with electronics and SW at many levels doing both design and debugging with relevant tools and measurement equipment.

• Education within Electronics or similar
• Expertise within FPGA firmware development
• Expertise with Linux and Linux driver models for interfacing with SoCs/FPGAs
• Expertise with code/firmware verification frameworks
• Programming expertise with relevant programming languages
  • -Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL
  • Python
  • C/C++
  • Tcl

You are a fast learner with a “can do” attitude. You are an outgoing person and team player with good communication skills, who can work independently, with your team and other functions. You are analytic, pragmatic and can strike a good compromise when needed, and thrives with many concurrent tasks. You are eager to take active part in lifting FPGA/embedded processor code development and verification to a new level within 3Shape.
