A great example is our intra-oral 3D scanner that makes it possible to scan a patient without any radiation or discomfort, then digitally design a new tooth using AI and finally 3D print or mill the new tooth – all within an hour. Behind the scenes, the technology is amazing and complex. Yet, for the end-user, the tools and workflows must be intuitive, robust, and fast.

For our big data team, 3Shape is looking for a Cloud Software Architect with experience in working with data management solutions. You'll join an agile team of 10 people, software developers and data engineers, and we are building the infrastructure for, on a large scale, collecting, storing, and processing data using Azure as our cloud provider.

Your job

• Investigate: Look into existing and new software and data management technologies, working closely with developers, product and project managers. Prototype a technical solution to learn and reduce risk.
  
• Build: Gradually handover your findings to developers, support the team with design and code reviews and iterate on the architecture when needed. You should also code yourself.
• Improve: Mentor developers and help drive improvements of tools and development processes to improve quality and flow. Occasionally, also join temporary, cross-organizational task forces to tackle complex problems or opportunities.
• Transform: Help to keep technical debt in check and define a technology roadmap paving the way to latest cloud technologies.
• Align: Collaborate with stakeholders both inside and outside the team. You will also work with 3Shape’s Software Architecture group which aligns on company-wide architecture and runs occasional workshops and tech talks.
• Our tech and tool stack is C#/.NET, Python, Azure, Databricks, AWS, Git, Jira, Github Actions, Visual Studio and other tools

Our vision of the candidate

• Experience with cloud services and data centered architectures
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Software Architect or Lead Developer
• Degree in computer science, engineering, IT or similar
• Excited about cross-site work: Your team is located in Copenhagen, Kyiv and Skopje
• Pragmatic, sees the big picture, ready to take ownership
• Strong collaboration and communication skills and fluent in written and spoken English
