3Shape is a global technology company headquartered in Copenhagen which offers unique career opportunities in the fields of Engineering, Software, and Regulatory & QA.

Our game is digital dentistry in the global market where we create value for our customers and improve the lives of patients like you and me.

In 3Shape R&D we are proud of our empowered, team-centric working culture where you can be sure to meet highly skilled, educated, and diverse teammates (we have sites in Copenhagen, Kiev, Skopje, and Szczecin – and in our HQ alone we are 30 different nationalities).

We are now building a new team in our R&D organisation around the disciplines of Quality Assurance for Software, Medical Device process governance (ISO 13485 + more), and Information Security Management (ISO 27001).

We are looking for a hands-on team lead that can breathe our vision to life.

The position

The team’s responsibilities are:

  • To be responsible for our formal R&D processes

A full-time person in the team is dedicated to facilitating the R&D Process Group. This group includes a diverse collection of process savvy 3Shapers from different development projects, Regulatory Affairs, and QA. The process facilitator releases latest updates to our Quality Management System and ensures training & learning.

  • To execute high-priority development processes together with our Software Project Managers.

Our Project Managers are often in need of a friend when it comes time to run processes crucial to Medical Device compliance, such as Risk Management (ISO 14971), Usability Studies (ISO 62366), and Information Security Management (ISO 27001)

  • To ensure the documentation of our Software Development projects live up to our internal processes and relevant regulations.

Examples include reviewing documentation before release to market or as a part of submissions of Technical Files to Notified Bodies within the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) Framework.

Your responsibilities are furthermore:

  • To manage this small team to nurture the team’s mission.

This includes recruiting, day-to-day management, task planning, and prioritization. The team size starts off with 3 people, including you, but we expect to grow in the future.

  • To partake in the team’s responsibilities (listed above) as a senior resource.

An appropriate division between management and hands-on work will be agreed on a continuous basis.

Qualifications

So, we are looking for a person matching most (or all) of the following:

  • A mindset that thrives in an empowered and collaborative environment.
  • Experience with the relevant ISO standards and regulations relevant for Medical Software.
  • An educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Writing, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Agile Software development.
  • Good at writing and reviewing technical documentation and processes.
  • Proficient in English as this is our working language.
  • Previous management experience is a plus.

We offer
