Let’s change dentistry together!

If you want to join the most exciting and innovative tech company in the medical device industry, then keep reading. With us, you will work on a broad variety of solutions used by thousands of dental professionals worldwide.

We are now looking for a talented and experienced System Architect for one of our programs, responsible for deploying a suite of software products for dental clinics. Our new architect will have a cross-project role that truly takes a “system view” on the development with a focus on cross-module and cross-project dependencies. She or he plays a critical role in helping align teams in a common technical direction and supervises and fosters build-in quality.

In the TRIOS Studios program, we coordinate, validate, and deploy bundles of CAD/CAM software supporting the use of our TRIOS Intraoral scanner with design and manufacturing applications.

You will drive and coordinate automated tests in the program with a focus on cross-module and cross-functional dependencies.

A part of the role and responsibility will be to act as a project manager for our automatic workflow testing project.

The position

  • Ensure that the program plan considers technical dependencies across modules and projects
  • Minimize technical debt and define technology roadmaps together with other system and software architects
  • Engage with stakeholders both inside and outside the program. You will also be a member of 3Shape’s Architecture network group which runs occasional workshops and tech talks
  • Ensure alignment of the chosen technical direction across multiple teams
  • Ensure that the test system can be used for release testing and take part in the official medical device documentation

In project teams, we use tools like Git, Jira, TeamCity, Jenkins, and Visual Studio with ReSharper. The tech stack is C# on the .NET framework 4.6.1 with WPF for the user interface, with plans to move to newer .NET framework.

System Architect with project management skills

As the role is a combination of the system architect and project manager, several years of experience with software development and project management will be required. Your experience should include comprehensive knowledge of design methods and technologies in general as well as having a great interest in gaining an in-depth understanding of the products and their users.

Our program includes several projects with dependencies and linked to each other, therefore experience in ensuring that program and project plans are technically feasible is important.

Most important is that you like working with developing advanced software and interested in learning new methods, technologies and enjoy technical discussions with colleagues. We hope that you like to bring your ideas to the table but also execute on your tasks and use your strong collaboration skills to help the team succeed.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Architect or lead developer on the .NET platform
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or similar
  • Confident working in cross-site projects with many stakeholders
  • Skilled in writing technical specification documents
  • Experience with project management, preferably in a MedTech company

We offer

  • Attractive offices in the center of Copenhagen, next to Kongens Nytorv metro station
  • Healthcare package to keep you fit and well
  • Lunch cooked by our private chef
  • An effective agile and dynamic development process that empowers the software development teams to take design and planning decisions
  • Work in an inspiring international environment with social, highly skilled, and committed colleagues
